Breakout Session: Less is More: Six Word Stories & Three Sentence Introductions
In our fast-paced world we have less than 10 seconds to make an impression. What you say to introduce yourself or your organization must cause people to want to learn more and to do something to help. The words you choose must make an impact. And the fewer words used the better. In this high hands-on learning session you will participate in two exercises that will get you excited to introduce your organization to others so that people want to take some action and learn more. By attending this session, you will identify words that cause people to want to take action, learn two strategies to share the impact of your organization and receive coaching and feedback to create short powerful introductory statements and six word stories.

Breakout Session: What Your Video Says About You
There are many factors that contribute to good video – the level of production, number of stories, who tells the story, how long it is and how you share the video. All of these factors should culminate in raw, powerful emotion captured on video that causes action. This session will share best practices to apply whether you are filming an organization video with an intern and a Flip video or you have a budget of thousands. It’s about crafting the story, not the financial resources or lack thereof. Good, bad and ugly video examples will be shared. Attend this session to learn best practices for filming a nonprofit video on any budget, understand the importance of strategy in where your video is used, and identify emotional trigger points for your organization.
